Depending on the brief, KRP can coordinate strip-out, partitions, ceilings, lighting, power, ventilation interfaces, changing areas, showers, flooring, decoration and final finishes. Scope, design responsibility and specialist equipment interfaces are agreed before quotation.
Where a venue remains operational, the programme can be split into zones or phases. We plan access, noisy work, dust control, deliveries and safe routes around the facility’s operating requirements. Out-of-hours work can be considered where it offers a practical benefit.
Gym and leisure environments need robust, maintainable finishes. Project specifications may include high-traffic flooring, moisture-resistant finishes, ventilation coordination, slip resistance, acoustic considerations and fire-safety interfaces. Product and performance requirements are agreed for the individual site.
Changing rooms, washrooms and access areas are an important part of a leisure venue’s day-to-day experience. BH Live appointed KRP to deliver a refurbishment package across venues in Portsmouth and Southsea, covering male and female changing facilities and wider improvements to a viewing gallery, ramps and a staircase.
KRP coordinated the removal and renewal of plumbing and electrical services, benches and existing finishes. Works included wall preparation, floor preparation, vinyl flooring, wall coverings, cubicle screens and ceiling grids, followed by finishing and snagging to prepare the refurbished areas for use.
