KRP Developments were appointed to carry out the complete removal of the existing render system to the school’s external elevations.
External remedial works scope
The project focused on the school building envelope, with the existing render removed across the affected elevations. This type of work requires the external areas to be carefully sequenced so that access, protection and follow-on activities can be coordinated around an operational education setting.
Programme and school-site planning
The works were delivered over an eight-week programme. Activity was planned around holiday periods and weekends to minimise disruption and ensure the building was ready for students returning to the site.
Planning a comparable school project
For similar external refurbishment schemes, early consideration of surveys, access, temporary protection and the school calendar helps define a practical scope and programme. KRP can review these requirements alongside wider school refurbishment and occupied-building needs.
